What is Tantric Yoga?
Tantra comes from the Sanskrit words tan and tra. Tan: to weave, tra: practice or system. Tantra is the weaving of practices. Tantra recognizes the dualities of existence, and is a system of creating union between light and dark, masculine and feminine, spiritual and material.
I’m not looking for a spiritual awakening, can I just take a class with you for fitness?
If you’re not interested in the spiritual aspects of yoga, I won’t force you to engage with them. Chanting mantras has a physical benefit for your body, these are ancient sounds long used to soothe the mind. Stress and pain can be psychosomatic and the ability to control your feelings is a path to health, self discovery is a method of achieving this control. I will honor the tradition of yoga by including these practices, but you can identify what I see as spiritual as whatever you need it to be.
What if I’m not flexible?
The difference between a flexible practitioner and a non-flexible practitioner, is that a flexible practitioner has to work harder. You still reap the benefits of exercise and movement when starting from a place of stiffness.
How much are your classes?
Yoga is meant to be accessible to everybody. I do not gatekeep my classes with high prices. I offer tiered pricing at $20, $40 and $60 for private classes.
I see private classes costing hundreds of dollars, why are yours so cheap?
I teach because it is an act of devotion. I don’t want money. Your payment is a way of supporting me as a member of your community so that I can sustain myself, not so I may accumulate wealth. As long as I am able to get by with less, I will charge as little as I can.
What makes you qualified to teach?

- Yoga doesn’t end when I roll up my mat, it is my way of being. It is my faith.
